Dorothy Mae (Goldman) Geffert

Dorothy Mae Geffert, 100, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024. She was born on January 12, 1924 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Joseph and Jerdie James Goldman. She was the oldest child and only girl with 7 younger brothers.

Dorothy married Leslie Geffert on 4/20/1946. They were married until his death in 1999. They were blessed with 4 children (DiAnn Demmer, Pat Krueger, Sandy Gentry and Bubba Geffert), 19 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her loving family (including her youngest brother and 2 daughters) and many, many wonderful friends. She will be missed!

Dorothy was a beloved member of the First Presbyterian Church in Yorktown and an active member of the Order of Eastern Star for 66 years.

The visitation will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the Massey Funeral Home in Yorktown. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with the interment following at the Westside Cemetery.

The pallbearers will consist of Dorothy's grandsons.
